Identity That Stays

Scripture: "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" – 1 John 3:1 (NIV)
As the day settles and your heart quiets, it’s the perfect time to reflect—not just on what happened today, but on who you are, no matter what happened. You are a child of God. That identity doesn’t waver based on your performance. It’s not lost when you fall short, and it’s not increased when you succeed. It simply is—secure, constant, and covered in love.
The world may try to label you based on what you’ve done or what you’ve gone through, but the Holy Spirit gently reminds you of who you truly are: deeply loved, divinely chosen, forever His.
Let that truth sink deep into your heart tonight. God’s love for you isn’t fragile—it’s lavish. He doesn’t just tolerate you—He delights in you. Rest in that kind of love tonight. There is no fear in being fully known and fully loved.
Let go of any identity you’ve picked up today that doesn’t reflect your worth in Christ. Remind yourself: “I am God’s child. That’s who I am.” Let that truth wash over you as you prepare for rest. You don’t need to prove anything—you only need to receive His love.
