The Book of Galatians is one of the Apostle Paul's earliest letters, written to churches in the region of Galatia (modern-day Turkey). The letter is a passionate defense of the gospel of grace, stressing that justification comes through faith in Christ alone, and not by works of the law. The book addresses the issue of legalism, where certain individuals were trying to impose the Old Covenant laws, such as circumcision, on Gentile converts.
