Overview of the Book of Acts

Introduction to the Book of Acts
The Book of Acts, also called The Acts of the Apostles, is the fifth book of the New Testament and serves as a bridge between the Gospels and the Epistles. Written by Luke, the same author as the Gospel of Luke, Acts continues the narrative of Jesus’ ministry through the work of the Holy Spirit and the early church. It provides a historical account of the birth and growth of the church and sets the stage for the spread of the gospel to the Gentiles.
