Resting in God’s Peace After Saying No

Resting in God’s Peace After Saying No

Good evening! As we come to the end of the day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the peace that comes from trusting God—especially when we’ve had to make difficult choices, like saying no.

Sometimes, after saying no, doubt creeps in. Did I make the right decision? Did I disappoint someone? But God’s Word reminds us that true peace isn’t found in pleasing people—it’s found in trusting Him. Isaiah 26:3 tells us that God keeps in perfect peace those who keep their minds focused on Him.

When we surrender our decisions to the Lord, we don’t have to carry the burden of regret or overthinking. If our “no” was prayerfully made, we can rest, knowing that God honors our obedience. His plans are always better than ours, and He knows what is best for us.

Tonight, I encourage you to let go of any stress or second-guessing. Instead, fix your thoughts on God. His peace is available to you—perfect, unshakable, and complete.

Reflection Questions:

• Do I trust God with my decisions, or do I worry about how others will respond?

• Have I prayed about any lingering doubts or fears from today?

• How can I better rest in God’s peace, knowing He is in control?
