Resting in His Grace

As night falls, the day’s burdens may still weigh heavy on your heart. Maybe you’ve been struggling with self-doubt or have been too focused on your shortcomings. Perhaps, like Gideon, you’ve felt like you don’t measure up, that your imperfections disqualify you from being used by God. But here’s the beautiful truth: God doesn’t need you to be perfect. He just needs you to surrender to His perfect grace.
As we saw earlier today, Gideon was far from a perfect leader. He was insecure, scared, and felt unworthy. But God still chose him. And the truth is, God still chooses us despite our weaknesses and flaws. He knows our weaknesses, and He is not surprised by them. In fact, it’s precisely in our weaknesses that His power is most clearly displayed.
Tonight, as you prepare to rest, I want to remind you of the grace that covers your imperfections. In 2 Corinthians 4:7, Paul reminds us, “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” Our brokenness is the perfect vessel for His glory. Just as a cracked jar still holds the precious treasure inside, so too do our broken lives hold the treasure of God's presence and power.
Let tonight be a time to release the weight of perfectionism, of trying to fix what’s broken within you. Instead, surrender it to God. He will not only hold you together in your brokenness, but He will use those cracks to shine His light brighter.
Rest tonight knowing that your imperfections do not make you any less valuable to God. He does not call the perfect, He calls the willing. And you, in your brokenness, are more than enough for Him to work through. You are His masterpiece, being shaped and molded by His hands.
Take a deep breath, release the day, and know that your weakness is where His strength shines the brightest.
