Today we’re talking about something life-changing: When God Shows Up.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you felt completely helpless—where you needed God to move, to speak, or to act? The good news is that our God is never absent. He is always present, always working, and always faithful to His promises. But when He shows up in a way we can see and experience, everything changes.
Today, we will look at several key moments in Scripture where God showed up and what that means for us today.
One of the clearest examples of God showing up in a time of great need is found in Exodus 14. The Israelites had just escaped from Egypt, but Pharaoh’s army was closing in. They were trapped between the Red Sea and the most powerful military force of their time.
Let’s read Exodus 14:13-14 (ESV):"And Moses said to the people, 'Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.’”
When God Shows Up in Desperate Moments
This is a powerful moment. The people were terrified, but God showed up. He parted the Red Sea, delivered His people, and destroyed their enemies.
Application:
Sometimes, when we are in a place of fear and desperation, we don’t need to strive—we need to trust.
God calls us to stand firm in faith, knowing that He will fight for us.
When God shows up, He brings deliverance.
Reflection Question:What “Red Sea” moment are you facing right now? Will you trust that God will make a way where there seems to be no way?
