Your Past Has No Power | Embrace Your New Identity in Christ

In Christ, you are not a patched-up version of who you used to be—you are a new creation. The moment you surrendered your life to Him, your old identity lost its hold, and something brand new began in you.

Still, the enemy loves to whisper reminders of your past. He wants to drag you back into guilt, regret, and self-condemnation. But the truth is: the old is gone—not just forgiven, but erased in God’s eyes. You are not a prisoner to who you used to be. Your past may explain your story, but it no longer holds the power to control your destiny.

God doesn’t see you through the lens of what you’ve done; He sees you through the finished work of Jesus. That’s why you can walk into today with boldness—not because of what you’ve overcome, but because of what He has done in you.

Speak freedom over your life this morning. When your past tries to rise up, answer it with the truth: “I am a new creation in Christ.” Let your choices today reflect who you are becoming—not who you once were. Step forward with purpose, not held back by yesterday’s labels.
